A recent rumor has been going around about an exchange between Oprah Winfrey and People Magazine regarding Michelle and Barack Obama’s daughter, Malia.
According to the fake story, Oprah had spoken out quite harshly against the teenager and her recent behavior.
The TV legend reportedly stated that she was disappointed in the former first parents and has been trying to distance herself from them as a whole.
More specifically, according to the report, the TV icon allegedly made references to a video showing Malia, a college student at Harvard, smoking marijuana, and she was also disappointed in the fact that she was going through an eviction.
The television host and reporter then directed her attention towards the former first couple claiming that she had no idea what they could have done wrong to allow things to get this far.
Last, but not least, she indicated a desire to completely remove herself from Malia and not be around her, according to the allegations.
According to the conservative website, Oprah allegedly said: “I love her father but what Malia has been doing lately is just sad.”
She reportedly added: “I saw that video of her blowing marijuana smoke rings in her dorm’s bathroom – you know she is getting kicked out of her dorm? – and that other one of her smoking a joint at the music festival and I wonder what her parents did wrong. I love those girls, I’ve had them and their parents over for dinner, but Malia is becoming a woman I can’t be around.”
The rumors became a hot topic on social media, and to nobody’s surprise, it did not take long for someone to get to the bottom of it.
As it turns out, Oprah had made no such statements, and her current attitude towards the Obama family is unknown.
Furthermore, an investigation revealed that some of the incidents referenced by the rumor — such as the marijuana and eviction — were completely made up and there is no credible source indicating otherwise.
Oprah has not made an official comment on the situation yet, but no one would be surprised if she kept her opinion on the incident to herself, regardless of her actual thoughts on the Obama family and their daughter.
