Dave Chappelle Feels Bad For ‘Poor White’ Donald Trump Voters Who Thought He Was Fighting For Them

Comedian Dave Chappelle had a new bit aimed at supporters of President Donald Trump, or rather, a specific segment of that demographic.

According to Chappelle, it all started when he was waiting in line to vote in November of last year, and got to talk to a group of people who were there to vote for Trump.

The funnyman mocked their beliefs that Trump would fight for them, claiming that the 45th U.S. president actually is in this for people like him who are very wealthy.

In the end, he stated that he did not feel any negativity towards the group he encountered, and went as far as to describe them as decent, but at the same time, he was unimpressed with their political stance and beliefs.

The 51-year-old entertainer explained: “I did not see one deplorable face in that group. I saw some angry faces and some determined faces, but they felt like decent folk.”

Chappelle also wanted to make it clear that he has no issues with white people in general, but he does seem to have a particular dislike for poor groups of that skin color.

He explained that poor white people had been a significant source of problems in the past.

Moreover, despite being apparently unimpressed with the way things have been going, he also claimed that there are some unexpected positive side effects of the current administration.

One example he gave was the increased rate at which people of all walks of life tend to discuss ethical issues recently.

From his perspective, the whole experience of having Trump as a president is an eye-opener for the masses, who finally start to realize certain things about the U.S. president’s position.

Whether that effect will last through the next three years is not very easy to predict, however.
