Sarah Montague’s interview with Prince Harry provoked many comments from members of Meghan Markle’s family.
The prince shared details Meghan’s experience while spending her first Christmas with his family in London.
Meghan and Harry stayed with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Anmer Hall for their visit to the Queen at Sandringham House.
All of them had a fantastic time, and the presence of the stunning actress was very welcomed there.
Apparently, the star of Suits fame managed to keep up pretty well with all formalities that tend to follow the royal family everywhere.
It was a comment from the prince that prompted almost immediate reactions from his fiancée’s family.
After Harry said that his family was the one that Meghan “never had,” Miss Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, was quick to deny the prince’s comment.
According to her, the future royal bride was surrounded by quite a significant number of relatives while growing up.
Thomas Markle Jr., the half-brother of Meghan, was also surprised by Prince Harry’s words.
He explained in an interview with Daily Mail that Miss Markle had had a fantastic childhood from his perspective.
Although her parents divorced when she was still at a very young age, she had to divide her time between two homes and thus, two families.
Markle Jr. elaborated further that his father, Thomas Markle Sr., and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, would probably not understand Harry’s remarks very well because they gave great importance to holidays and spending quality time with family.
Perhaps it is just a matter of differing perspectives because the royal family also had its fair share of drama and it is hard to say that Prince Harry had an ideal childhood.
The probable explanation for this controversy is the member of the royal family’s statement being taken out of context, and he meant no harm.
