NBC host Megyn Kelly has decided to raise her voice in defense of porn star Stormy Daniels, stating that her choice of profession does not automatically turn her into a liar.
After the adult movie actress claimed that she had a romantic relationship with President Donald Trump and created a massive scandal out of her story, the immediate reaction from the White House was to blame her for not telling the truth.
Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, made a statement on Wednesday at an event in Tel Aviv, claiming that if Daniels was selling her body for sexual pleasures, then she was not trustworthy when she was saying that she has had an intimate encounter with the New York real estate billionaire and reality TV star.
On Thursday, during an episode of her show, the former star of right-leaning cable network Fox News Channel countered Giuliani by reminding everyone that First Lady Melania Trump used to be a successful model and also happened to stand naked in front of the cameras on multiple occasions in exchange for monetary compensation.
Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, also stepped up to defend his client after Giuliani’s remarks on Wednesday by exclaiming that the meaning of what Trump’s attorney said was that no woman in the porn industry is to be believed or respected.
Additionally, Avenatti remarked that Giuliani deserved to be let go because of his controversial statements.
While making his appearance in Tel Aviv, Giuliani also explained that Mrs. Trump herself did not believe the story Daniels has about her affair with Trump.
On the following day, during her show, Kelly asked the people who were watching the episode live if they believed Giuliani’s claim about the first lady. The answer from the audience was immediate denial.
So far, Melania has not issued any comments regarding her husband’s possible infidelity. However, a spokesperson for the former model stated that she did not talk about her feelings with Giuliani.
Many saw what the representative said as a rebuke for the former mayor of New York.
