Bella Thorne posted an angry message on Twitter, complaining about being forced to miss her boyfriend’s concert performance because of problems with the roads.
After the actress poured her frustration about the road closures in Santa Barbara, California, actor Rob Lowe did not wait long before slamming her with some critical responses to her comments.
According to Lowe, Bella’s complaints and attitude were the reason why celebrities tend to be disliked by other people. The actor finished his reply with a bit of sarcasm, saying they would try to move out the bodies of the victims faster.
Mr. Lowe also shared that he had friends among the missing victims of the recent disaster.
The 101 freeway, which acts as a main connecting road between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, was also quite damaged and therefore closed.
The reason for the road closures was a serious situation of mudslides in the vicinity of the coastal town of Montecito. Cars and homes were washed away by muddy rivers and debris, and this was happening in an area that recently had suffered from wildfires.
The number of victims up to this moment is 20, and the fate of three others is still unknown. From the information that was given by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown, the search for more survivors continues. He further said that some people were rescued on Thursday.
Bella has since deleted her tweet and posted a new one, although not quite apologetic, at least wishing everyone a safe return home.
January has been a busy month for the 20-year-old Florida native. She recently revealed that she was abused sexually while growing up and it only stopped when she turned 14.
In light of Thorne’s struggles, some commenters wondered if Lowe, a 53-year-old father of two, could not have reached out to her in a more personal way.
