It looks like people disliking disgraced business mogul Harvey Weinstein is nothing new, and the hate against him has been running for some time in his professional circles.
While accusations against Weinstein keep coming out on a near-daily basis right now, more people have started to recall their own unpleasant interactions with him from the past.
According to former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jason Priestley, an incident occurred at a Miramax after-party at the height of his career in the 1990s, where Weinstein forcefully grabbed the actor by the arm and tried to drag him back to the party, shortly after telling him to leave.
The argument between the two escalated to the level where Priestley threw a punch at Weinstein, and at that point, he had to be escorted out by security guards.
As can be expected, Weinstein did not leave the incident at that and spent some time trying to allegedly get the Canadian-American actor’s career destroyed.
Some say he did not get far in those attempts, but it is not the first time he had reportedly attempted to silence those who were ready to go public against him forcefully.
Of course there is more to the story… ‘95 Golden Globes… at the Miramax Party… Harvey told me I had to leave… I was leaving when he grabbed me by the arm and said “ what are you doing?” I said “ you told me leave, I’m leaving”

“I didn’t say you had to leave” he replied. “You just told me to leave… right over there” I tell him once again. Getting heated now. He then grabs me tighter and says “why don’t we go outside and talk about this”. That was all I needed to hear,

“I’m not going anywhere with you” I said as I pushed him back and punched him with a right hand to his face. Suddenly, there were security guards pulling us apart and I was escorted out of the party…

There have been reports that Weinstein had used the same tactic against Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd in the past after the two had attempted to speak out against his misconduct.
It is unfortunately apparent that things like these have happened before and there are victims of Weinstein’s harassment who have actually suffered professionally as a result of his actions.
Moreover, with the way things are going right now, these revelations will probably keep coming to light pretty quickly, as there is already a good number of accusations.
The business mogul dominated Hollywood for decades, and if he used to apply the same behavior in most of his professional interactions, the list of victims might be quite long.
