Mario Batali Fired From ‘The Chew’ Amid Misconduct Claims

Another celebrity has fallen to sexual harassment accusations, and this time it is celebrity chef Mario Batali.

ABC, the network behind TV show, The Chew, has made an announcement that they have officially decided to end their professional relationship with Batali after reviewing the situation.

ABC’s comment went on to say that the network has not been made aware of any similar incidents surrounding The Chew, but that they still take accusations like these very seriously and they want to maintain a safe working environment.

The Alphabet Network’s statement on the matter read: “Upon completing its review into the allegations made against Mario Batali, ABC has terminated its relationship with him and he will no longer appear on The Chew.”

The famous chef did not deny the accusations in the slightest and admitted that while he was not aware who was making them exactly, it did sound like something he would probably do.

He went on to apologize to anyone that might have been hurt by the incident and expressed his sincere regrets over what he had done.

How will Batali’s career continue from here? The chef certainly does not seem to have a defeated attitude about this, and he has stated that he will do his best to try and regain the trust that he has lost.

He seems to have a lot of work ahead of him in this regard though, as the situation does not look good.

It also does not help that the allegations came at a very heated time when similar scandals are shaking the entertainment industry left and right.

It is almost impossible for big brands to ignore such incidents at the moment, and a lot of attention is being paid to them by everyone.

Last week, a female chef told Eater that Batali rubbed her breasts at an event after she had spilled wine on her shirt.
