Warner Bros. has put out the official trailer for the Ocean‘s series spin-off earlier this month, and fans could not be more excited.
In the new film, Ocean’s 8, Sandra Bullock will form a group of seven women in an attempt to steal a precious jewel.
Bullock will take on the role of Debbie Ocean, the sibling of Danny Ocean, portrayed by George Clooney in the original series.
Danny has been in prison for some time and now is being freed on parole.
With his days of crime now behind him, he intends to live peacefully after receiving his freedom.
However, his sister is planning something else. Her first task is to gather the perfect group of women: Lou, Rose, Eight Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance.
The eight ladies plan to steal a precious diamond necklace worth 150 million dollars from New York’s annual Met Gala.
The roles of the female criminals will be played by Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina.

Those are not the only celebrities that we are going to see in the movie either. Other well-known names like Anna Wintour, Zac Posen, Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Katie Holmes, and Serena Williams will also make cameos.
The first official poster was posted on Twitter by Miss Paulson a few weeks ago.
It features the eight main female characters in different coats, with the film’s tagline hanging above their heads: “Every con has its pros.”
The film is written by Gary Ross and Olivia Milch and produced by Mr. Clooney. It is going to be directed by Ross and will be released on June 8 next year.
With all of the things happening in Hollywood at the moment regarding gender equality, an all-female cast seems like a good idea.
