Matt Lauer Still Clinging To ‘TODAY’ Show, Sends Text To Hoda Kotb On The Air

While many suspected that there would be a lot of drama surrounding the replacement of Matt Lauer on the TODAY show, following his sexual harassment allegations scandal, that does not seem to be the case.

In fact, Lauer himself is apparently very happy with his replacement, and he even sent Hoda Kotb a congratulatory message while she was on the air.

It was also clear that Lauer still has the support of his former colleagues, despite the negative light he has found himself in recently. The allegations against him have not really affected his standing, and there were positive remarks about Lauer made on the show.

As for Kotb, she seems happy and confident in her new position, and she expressed her great excitement over the fact that she has managed to land the job. It looks like she is a good fit for the role, and hopefully, she will manage to do the job without any issues in the long run.

There does not seem to be any negativity towards her from the crowds following the TODAY show either, and that was another worrying possibility on the horizon.

It is not rare for shows to suffer from the decision to let go of a beloved host or another member involved in the production, and Top Gear is probably one of the most prominent recent examples.

It will be interesting to see where the TODAY show will be a couple of years from now, but all signs are pointing towards a robust recovery and a positive outlook for the future at the moment.

Lauer is reportedly having a tough time letting go of the program that led for two decades. The 60-year-old news anchor has been reaching out to producers to give them unsolicited advice on how to handle things.

The text he has sent to his successor fits that pattern.
