‘Pawn Stars’ Fans And Family Pay Final Respects To ‘The Old Man’ Richard Harrison At His Funeral

Many gathered in Las Vegas on Sunday to pay their final tribute to late reality TV star Richard Harrison.

The 77-year-old businessman, who is mostly known to the world as “The Old Man,” passed away on June 25 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

During the funeral ceremony, different video stills in memory of the deceased were played and showed the most important aspects of his life such as being a former Navy official, loving father, and husband.

In one of the video clips, which was a cut from an episode of Pawn Stars, Harrison could be seen trying to navigate his vehicle through a course filled with different obstacles.

In the video, the TV personality is heard proudly saying to his son and colleagues that he was the best driver there just before hitting some of the traffic cones that were standing nearby.

The casket of the late celebrity was covered by an American flag in honor of his lengthy career in the Navy.

Furthermore, a picture of the deceased and his wife, JoAnne, with whom they were married for 58 years, was put on display near the casket.

After Harrison’s demise, he left behind a grieving family of three sons, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The TV star was born on March 4, 1941, in Danville, Virginia but soon afterward his family moved to Lexington, North Carolina, where they stayed for the most of Harrison’s youth.

During his career in the Navy, Harrison managed to achieve the rank of petty officer first class until he left his position and started working with his wife in the real estate business.

Fans are all over social media are paying tribute to the famous TV personality.

One commenter stated, “So sorry for your loss! Loved watching the Old Man on Pawn Stars! He was cherished by many and will NEVER be forgotten. Also, he is an American hero because he swore his life to America to protect it!”
